Welcome To Destination Meditation

Destination Meditation CIC is a small, relational community project focused on reducing isolation and supporting emotional regulation in children, young people, and adults.

We offer calm, preventative, inclusive wellbeing spaces rooted in lived experience, long standing community delivery, and training in mindfulness and nervous system regulation.

Our work is intentionally gentle, human, and accessible. We create warm, safe spaces where people can show up exactly as they are, without pressure, judgement, or expectation.

Developed in partnership with Coram's Fields, we deliver two connected strands of support.

Mindfulness and nervous system regulation groups for children and young people, and a community drop in for adults experiencing loneliness, isolation, or a narrowing of life.

WHAT WE DO

Our work is rooted in lived experience, long standing community delivery, and current training in mindfulness and nervous system regulation. We offer calm, preventative, inclusive wellbeing spaces that are intentionally gentle, human, and accessible.

The project is being developed in partnership with Coram's Fields, using their indoor spaces to deliver consistent, community based wellbeing provision.

This builds on long standing delivery experience at the site and within the local community.

We currently deliver two connected strands of community wellbeing support.

Mindfulness and Nervous System Regulation

For children and young people (ages two to twenty one)

Gentle, practical, age appropriate groups that support children and young people to:

• Notice and understand their bodies

• Recognise and name emotions

• Learn simple self soothing and grounding tools

• Develop inner safety and emotional awareness

Sessions are creative, sensory, and accessible. They may include breathing, gentle movement, story, play, music, sensory resources, and quiet reflection.

The focus is on early support and prevention, helping children and young people build emotional literacy, confidence, and self awareness in a calm, non clinical way.

Groups are small, consistent, and relational, creating spaces where children feel safe to show up exactly as they are.

Mindfulness Community Choir

I believe that singing is one of the most natural and powerful ways to regulate the mind, connect with others and create a sense of calm and belonging. The Mindfulness Community Choir, led by Emma Sinclair, trained singer, music specialist and mindfulness practitioner, brings together music and mindfulness in a gentle, welcoming community space.

These sessions are not about perfection or performance. They are about breathing, grounding, connection and the simple joy of singing together. Through mindful breathing, vocal warm ups and shared songs, participants are invited to slow down, reconnect with their voices and experience the natural wellbeing benefits of music. Emma has spent many years working with children, families and communities through music and creative wellbeing programmes.

The Mindfulness Community Choir draws on this experience, blending musical expertise with mindfulness practices to create a supportive and uplifting group experience.

Sessions will include both family choir sessions, where parents and children can sing and connect together, and adult-only sessions, creating a calm space for adults to relax, breathe and enjoy the benefits of mindful singing. This initiative is being developed in partnership with The People’s Army and other community organisations who share the vision of creating accessible spaces that support wellbeing, connection and community resilience.

The aim is simple: to create a welcoming choir where people can come together, breathe, sing and leave feeling lighter than when they arrived. No previous singing experience is needed. Just come as you are.

WHO WE ARE

Destination Meditation was created in response to the growing need for accessible, preventative wellbeing support that sits between everyday life and clinical services.

Many people are not unwell enough to meet thresholds for formal support, yet are struggling with stress, overwhelm, emotional dysregulation, loneliness, or a shrinking of their world.

We exist to offer gentle, relational spaces where people can feel safe, seen, and supported.

Our approach is calm, non clinical, and human. We believe that small, consistent, relational spaces can have a powerful impact over time.

Destination Meditation is being developed in partnership with Coram's Fields, using their indoor spaces to deliver consistent, community based wellbeing provision.
